Terms and Conditions for Bookings at Mike’s Dauin Beach Resort

Deposit

A 50% deposit will be required at the time of booking to confirm the reservation and the balance is payable on arrival at the resort. If diving is pre-booked the 50% deposit will apply to accommodation and diving and any special packages.
For agency bookings or for group bookings involving 4 or more rooms, full payment is required 30 days prior to arrival.
The deposit amount credited is based on the final amount received in our accounts. You are responsible for all transfer fees and losses resulting from exchange rates charged by banks, financial institutions and credit card companies. If there is a resulting shortfall this will be payable on arrival at the resort.

Payment

All prices are quoted in Filipino pesos, payment can be made:
– In cash: Filipino pesos, USD and Euros only (subject to local exchange rates on the day)
– By credit card (Mastercard or Visa only)
– By bank transfer
– Gcash can be used to pay into our bank account
– Paypal can be used but there is usually a very high transaction fee which you would need to cover.

We highly recommend wise.com for bank transfers as they currently have low transfer rates and good exchange rates compared to many banks. We do not accept wise.com payments in resort as there are occasionally short delays in transactions being completed.

Cancellation Policy

For reservations involving 3 rooms or fewer:
If the cancellation is received by us:
– More than 30 days prior to arrival 100% of the deposit will be refunded.
– Between 29 and 14 days prior arrival 50% of the deposit will be refunded.
– Fewer than 14 days prior to arrival or for no shows, no refund on any payment will be made.
– For early check outs the full amount of the booking is payable.

For reservations involving 4 or more rooms:
For arrival dates on or between 15 May and 15 December (excluding 28 September to 7 October), if the cancellation is received by us:
– More than 60 days prior to arrival 100% of the deposit will be refunded
– Between 59 and 30 days prior arrival 50 % of the deposit will be refunded
– Fewer than 30 days prior to arrival or for no shows, no refund on any payment will be made
— For early check outs the full amount of the booking is payable.

For arrival dates on or between 16 December and 14 May & 28 September and 7 October (inclusive), if the cancellation is received by us:
– More than 90 days prior to arrival 100% of the deposit will be refunded
– Between 89 days and 60 days prior arrival 50% of the deposit will be refunded
– Fewer than 60 days prior to arrival or for no shows, no refund on any payment will be made.
– For early check outs the full amount of the booking is payable.

Partial Cancellation

For Group members the cancellation policy applies to each person. For example, if one group member cancels, their portion of the deposit will be non-refundable according to the refund policy above unless someone else can fill their space.

Administrative Fees

All requests for refunds will be subject to a reasonable administrative fee depending on the payment method used and the method of refund.

Third Party Agencies

These policies apply to direct bookings made through Mike’s Dauin Beach Resort. If you choose to book through a third party, different terms may apply please refer to the cancellation policy of your agency.

Travel Insurance

We do understand that sometimes cancellations unfortunately occur and we therefore urge you to seek appropriate travel insurance to cover the costs associated with unexpected events. In some cases we will consider a re-arrangement of dates subject to availability, the stay dates of the original booking and depending on individual circumstances.

Travel Documents

Please note that guests are responsible for obtaining the correct and valid travel documents that are required before arriving in the Philippines or to the Province of Negros Oriental, we cannot refund short-notice cancellations due to incorrect travel documents.
